Frequently Asked Questions

Is coaching worth the investment?

The real question is what staying stuck is already costing you. Most clients find that a few weeks of focused coaching saves months of frustrating trial and error, and the knock-on effect on confidence, interview performance and the offers you attract adds up quickly.

How much does coaching cost?

Packages vary depending on your goals and the level of support you need. We cover all of that in the free discovery call, so you receive a personalised quote after our conversation with full pricing and terms and conditions shared before anything is confirmed. No pressure, no surprises, just a clear picture of what you are committing to.

I am not sure I can afford coaching right now. The financial pressure is already real.

There is no commitment until you have seen the complete picture, and if budget is a concern, payment plans are available so we can find a structure that works for your situation. Many clients also find that landing the right role sooner, at the right salary, more than covers the investment.

What if I am not sure I am ready?

That is exactly what the discovery call is for. You do not need to have everything figured out before we speak. In fact, uncertainty is one of the most common reasons people reach out.

Do you only work with people in Cairns?

No. I work with international professionals all across Australia, online. I lived in Sydney before relocating to Cairns, so I have a strong understanding of different Australian job markets. If you are based in Cairns, in person sessions are also available.

How long does coaching typically take?

That depends on where you are starting from and what you are working towards. Some clients achieve significant progress in a few sessions. Others benefit from longer term support. We work that out together in the discovery call, based on your goals and your chosen package.

Why work with a coach who specialises in international professionals?

The Australian job market has its own unwritten rules, cultural expectations and hiring norms that are not always obvious from the outside. Generic career advice does not account for that. I have lived this journey myself, moving from Switzerland and rebuilding my career here from scratch. I know what gets lost in translation and exactly how to fix it.

What if English is not my first language?

You do not need to be fluent in English to benefit from coaching. I coach in both English and French, I understand German and I am experienced in working with international professionals navigating a second or third language, I even have great tips to give about how to overcome this fear. The goal is that you feel comfortable, understood and able to show up fully in our sessions.

Is our coaching confidential?

Completely. Before we begin working together, both parties sign a confidentiality agreement. What you share in our sessions stays between us. You can speak openly, honestly and without reservation, which is exactly how good coaching works.

I have tried other coaches before, and it did not work. Why would this be different?

Fair question. My approach is direct, personalised and grounded in real recruitment experience, not a packaged programme. If I do not think I can genuinely help you, I will tell you that honestly in the discovery call.
